A library is not a luxury but one of necessity.
To pay tribute to the renowned personality, Dr. S R. Ranganathan, who is known as the father of the library, and to appreciate the work of the librarian, a special assembly was conducted at Darshan Academy Hisar on August 12, 2023, on the occasion of the National Librarian Day. The Darshanites participated with zeal and enthusiasm, making everyone spellbound by their heart-winning presentations. They highlighted some of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan’s significant contributions and mentioned his contribution to the development of Indian librarianship and the library movement in the country. Further, an innovative reading session was conducted for all the Darshanites in which students read various kinds of books, penned important information, and developed their reading skills.
