In compliance with CBSE guidelines on child protection and safety, Darshan Academy, Hisar, conducted a seminar on POCSO Act Awareness for teachers to enhance their understanding of child safety laws and responsibilities. The session was conducted by Dr. Prabhu Dayal, Chief Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Hisar, and Mr. Rahul Sharma, District Counsellor, Hisar. They shared valuable insights about the provisions of the POCSO Act, important IPC sections and the legal consequences related to child abuse and misconduct. The speakers emphasized the crucial role of teachers in early identification, reporting and prevention of such incidents. They also highlighted children’s emotional and psychological needs and guided teachers on handling sensitive situations with care and confidentiality. The seminar was highly informative and enriching for all participants, strengthening their awareness and sense of responsibility regarding child protection.
