Inter-House Dance Competition

(September 25, 2018)

Darshan Academy Ambala hosted an Inter-House Dance Competition on 1st September, 2018. All four houses performed with excitement to the beat of a variety of songs. The objective of the competition was to create a student interest in the field of dance and to develop their dancing skills. The wining team was from Kirpal House.


Impact of Meditation on Academic Performance

Darshan Academy Ambala organized a talk on 19.09.2018 in the school premises for classes VI to VIII to acquaint the students with the benefits of meditation, especially during examination time. The speaker, Mrs. Vandana Rewal, presented how meditation can reduce academic stress, anxiety and improve focus and confidence. She emphasized the point that meditation can boost concentration and remove exam fear. The talk was highly beneficial in motivating the students to practice meditation


Prestigious State Teachers Award 2018

Ms Reenu Bindra, PGT (Physical Education) teacher was the recipient of the State Teacher’s Award at a grand ceremony organized by the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi. Ms Reenu Bindra has shown excellence and dedication in the field of education and is a treasured member of the Darshan Academy Delhi teaching staff. She was felicitated by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia. The "State Teachers' Award, 2018" was held at the Thyagraj Sports Complex in New Delhi on 5 September, 2018. Ninety one educators among fifty thousand teachers of Delhi state received the award this year. It is a great honour and pride that Darshan Academy Delhi staff members have been among the recipients of this prestigious award for the past three consecutive years.


Rewarding Excellence in Education - Awards from Education Today

The much-awaited Education Today School Merit Awards 2017-2018 were given to Darshan Academy Dasuya and Delhi on September 8, 2018. Darshan Academy Dasuya received the award in the category of “Value for Money” in the Best CBSE school category, and Darshan Academy Delhi received an award for “Co-Curricular Education.” Both awards were given to the DA principals at the Education Today award ceremony to recognise excellence in education and exemplary contributions in the education field by Darshan Academy. The award ceremony “‘Rewarding Excellence in Education’ in the K-12 sector” was held at Taj City Center, Gurugram, and was attended by principals from all over India and delegates. Congratulations to all!


Global Forgiveness Day

Darshan Academy Pune observed Global Forgiveness and Moment of Calm Day on 2nd August 2018. The main objective of the event was to inculcate the qualities of sharing, caring and forgiving. A special assembly was conducted where Ms. Anupriya Nair, Primary Coordinator involved all the students in the topic forgiveness. Ms. Kirti Nanoti, Senior Coordinator gave an inspirational speech on forgiveness, stating “Forgive yourself and others to resolve negativity within oneself and the world.” She explained that forgiveness is not weakness or allowing oneself to be treated badly. It just means to stop feeling resentment against someone or something. She concluded her speech with the words of Nelson Mandela “Forgiveness liberates the soul that is why it’s such a powerful weapon”. Later the school also observed calm for two minutes in the assembly. At the end of the day students understood that forgiveness is not something we do for others but something we do for ourselves.
