National Voters’ Day and National Girl Child Day, Hisar

Darshan Academy, Hisar celebrated National Voters’ Day and National Girl Child Day on January 25, 2020 starting with a school assembly conducted by class IX students. The importance of voting and girls’ empowerment were presented through storytelling, chart presentation, action songs and role play. Poster making, slogan writing and debate competitions were also a part of the day’s activities. Topics were: Empowerment of Girls, Relevance and Significance of the Right to Vote and Can the Right to Vote Lead to Good Governance? An interactive life skill session on the importance of coeducational education and women’s empowerment was presented by the school councilor for the students of class VI-VIII. Principal Ms Jessica R. Kamble asserted that it is the social responsibility of every citizen to come forward for the protection and upliftment of women and to make use of the right to vote. At the end, she appreciated the efforts of the students which led the event to a grand success.
